WELCOME TO THE PROVINCE OF IMBABURA

Imbabura is the best province in the Northern Sierra of Ecuador, known as the "Province of Lakes" by the number of large lakes found within the province, such as the San Pablo lake and ponds Cuicocha Yahuarcocha ("lake of blood ") and Puruhanta Pimampiro and others.

The provincial capital is Ibarra. The best cities are Cotacachi, Otavalo, Urcuqui and Atuntaqui. The province has many other attractions, such as Imbabura and Cotacachi volcanoes.

Definitely the province is also known for its friendly people. It also has two climatic zones: the first warm and dry or steppe, known as the Hoya del Chota where the capital Ecuador is also found and the Andean subtropical warm, known as Intag and Lita (border with the province of Esmeraldas )http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provincia_de_Imbabura

Waterfall Peguche

Peguche Waterfall is the most incredible place in the Otavalo city, and spiritual ritual site, where people a night before the eve Inti Raymi flock to the waters of the waterfall for a holy dip in order to prepare spiritually and celebrate holidays that last a few days .

Fortunately it is considered a sacred place in the culture of the peoples of Otavalo because a characteristic of the Indians is their relationship with nature, especially the mountains, water, trees, compared to a cluster of meanings that inspired conserved and inspire stories, myths and legends and rituals.

Located in the community of Peguche, just 5 minutes northwest of the city of Otavalo. Peguche Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall of 18 m high, formed by the waters of the river of the same name, which starts at Lake San Pablo. The waterfall is one of the most important tourist attractions in Otavalo. Due to its proximity and easy access, several tourists and visitors flock to the area to meet and enjoy a unique landscape.

I have been there several times with my friends. it was really wonderful!

I recomended!
